Friday Day Trading: ER Bonus Trade

I wanted you to know that the problems with my charts are now fixed. On looking over opportunities today, the one I like the best was in ER at 11:30AM EST. You can see if you compare this chart up against the ES on the same time frame and price bars of 15 minutes they both had what I would classify as a Spike Reversal on the chart.

The better one of the two was on the ER as it closed right above Support and the ES showed the same upward movement to warrant an attempt to go LONG. This LONG trade was rewarded as you can see and easily went on ahead and made target.

In any case, I am happy to report that my charts are fixed finally and I am glad that you can see what I see on them more clearly now. I want to wish you a wonderful weekend filled with happiness and joy.

Thursday Day Trading: ZB Long Trade

Today the markets that I follow were pretty quiet and uneventful, but at 11:35AM the bonds moved nicely up, and I went LONG at that time and comfortably hit target. This was the best trade of the day. The patient wins the day.

Once again, I noticed that the labels are not lining up properly with the chart when I save the chart or export it to my computer. Hopefully, this problem will resolve itself soon. If you look at your charts on the ZB and do 15 min bar charts you will see my entry at 11:35AM Eastern that went up nicely and made target with room to spare.

Thursday Day Trading: G6E Observations

Today the G6E offered a nice trade in early hours at 5AM Eastern Time ... my thoughts follow that time frame. Later in the morning, I was watching a support line to go LONG, but this didn't materialize during my trading day so I stood aside. So the trade to make on the EURO happened to be very early in the morning ... and after my trading session I see there was a possible entry during the lunch hour.

Wednesday Day Trading: ES Revenge Trade

Just to prove that I am human and have losing trades. Here is one that I considered today at 10:45AM Eastern time. On hindsight, this was a poor entry and a poor trade to consider. I have entitled this trade a REVENGE TRADE. What I tried to do was to capture the missing profits that I missed in the ER trade that was stopped out or at least that was my reasoning behind the entry.

Now with this being said, the teacher or teachers is the market. It will do what it wants to do regardless of how you feel and look, so don't be emotional and be careful of those REVENGEFUL trades. In the end, personally I have found these kind of trades rarely work out.

P.S. Last trading post of the day, also I noticed that my trading platform did not place the decision points in the proper places today. To figure out my trades each bar is 15 minutes in length and I have left you my entry times today. I apologize for this, and realize that it can be confusing to read ... but hopefully they will have that fixed tomorrow.

Wednesday Day Trading: Long Trade ER

Another valid signal came in the ER today at 9:45AM Eastern Time. This trade after moving up I moved my stop to breakeven plus 2 tics. My stop was hit. Being a trader this can happen at times, so be prepared. More importantly, my goal is not to have a winning trade turn into a loser. There is a fine line on moving your stop to soon and not moving it and taking a full loss on a trade.

The decision points are off in this chart ... it should be for May 14th and not placed into May 13th here. The chart is not saving correctly today from the trading platform to my computer. This is also the same with the ZB trade as well.

Wednesday Day Trading: ZB Morning Entry

After open of bond market or ZB at 8:20, there was a valid LONG signal at 8:35AM. This came after the RED REPORT at 8:30AM Eastern time on CORE CPI. This trade made target and a nice easy day trade to make.

Tuesday Day Trading - 2nd SR Bar ES

Here is another bonus trade for Tuesday's trading. This is what I call a spike reversal on the 2nd attempt ... another great entry and right on up to target in 2 bars. By trading and waiting for the market to show you what it wants to do will keep you out of many losing trades, and more importantly from overtrading.

These are the two trades I liked for the day on Tuesday.

Tuesday Day Trading - Easy ZB Bond Trade

Today's trade in the morning, I focused on the ZB Contract, or the 30 year bonds. There was a RED REPORT today being the CPI and CORE CPI, so no traded before the report release at 8:30. There were two good opportunties to then get short at 8:35AM or 8:50AM Eastern Time. I really don't care about what the report name is, but what effect will it have on the market is more important to me.

Trade went on to reach target easily on the 8:35AM trade. The second one if I would have taken it at 8:50AM moved up close to my stop, but did not stop out. It also proceeded to target as well. All in all, a nice relaxing Day Trade in the bonds today.

BTW, I use 15 minute chart settings so I don't get overly excited and decide to overtrade a market. A saying I like to say ... For Those About to Trade I Salute You!!

Monday Day Trading

Today was a nice day to trade the bonds. My first trade was 15 minutes after the open at 8:20AM EST. This trade made target. The second trade was at 10:05AM EST, again another winner and I have made my weekly win goal with today's trading.

I will update the best trade of the day for the rest of the week that I liked.
