Friday Day Trading: ZC Bonus Trade

With ROLLOVER going on in the bonds today, I would have steered clear of the financials and indices on this day. So I would have considered only the grains today. Today wheat and corn were moving together so there was a good opportunity to go LONG today at 11:00AM Eastern Time.

Once again, this is simply a bonus trade and not one that I took in my personal trading. For the most part, I do not trade on Friday's, but I wanted to show what I was thinking in any case. I want to wish you all the best over the weekend and be back posting on Monday.
Happy Trading,

Thursday Day Trading: ZB Rollercoaster!

Today we had a RED REPORT release at 8:30AM Eastern time today, that I waited until the release before trading. My first trade was at 8:35AM on a Spike Reversal Trendfade LONG. This trade did not work out my protective stop was hit.

The second trade came 15 minutes after the first one. I went SHORT at 8:50AM Eastern time on a FAILURE to close the GAP and failed SPIKE REVERSAL. This trade went on to target and since my WIN GOAL is larger than my STOP LOSS, then on my two net trades today I came home in the WINNING CIRCLE.

I wish you all the best in your trading. And as always, if I can be of assistance, please feel free to send me an email.

Wednesday Day Trading: ZB No Entry

ZB was a very tough market to trade today. No clear trend developed. It is a great example of standing on the sidelines in the market. Perhaps, a trader trading a shorter time frame would have been profitable on this trade, but for my trading plan this did not fit into it.

After the release of the RED REPORT Core Durable Goods at 8:30AM Eastern time, the market was looking promising for a short entry, but towards the last minute on the trade on the 8:20 to 8:35AM Bar it fought its way back up and I stood aside.

I really wanted to SHORT this market today, but I was forced to continue to stand aside. My point is being on the sidelines is also a position. If you are not in the market, and it is trading sideways, then why trade it?

The better trade came in CORN today so paying attention to all of my markets I trade was the key to a successful trade today. This obviously, is my opinion and if it makes sense, then I am happy to be of assistance in your day trading.

Best Continued Wishes,

Wednesday Day Trading: ZC Short Entry

There was a nice trade to make in CORN today. Wheat and Corn have not been in synch now for a month, in my humble opinion. But today the trade was in synch and there was an excellent opportunity to once again go SHORT in Corn at 11:00AM Eastern time. It did not take me out at target. I moved stop to 2/3 profit target and my stop was hit. This trade was a nice one in CORN today.

Tuesday Day Trading - ZB Bond Trade

Today as I look over the markets. The best trade of the day came in the ZB market at 8:50AM Eastern Time. This trade could be described as one that failed to close the GAP this morning. Trade was to go short and easily made target in 1 bar.

This was a very nice trade in the ZB.

Friday Day Trading: ZB Bonus Trade

As a bonus trade for this week, I liked the ZB market once again at 8:50AM Eastern time today. Please note that the bonds opened with a gap ... there was no strong push down when I was monitoring the trade this morning so it was a good time to take a LONG position. This trade was profitable.

I want to wish you all the best this Memorial Weekend. I will be back posting on either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week after the Holiday. I would like to leave you with this thought to consider ...

LOVE WHAT YOU DO

When you love what you do, you will become excellent at it. The more excellent you are at what you do, the more you will be paid to do it. Therefore, loving what you do is the key to your personal compensation and your ultimate prosperity. In addition, when you love what you do, you will be happier, more confident, and even healthier because you are more at ease with your life. - Larry Winget

Thursday Day Trading: ZB Short Morning

Today being Thursday, the bonds or the ZB Contract was where it was at ... just pick your point to enter and it seemed to work out in your trading today. All of the trades took place after the release of the Unemployment claims today at 8:30AM. This was what I consider a RED REPORT so no trading until after the release of the report.

I made several trades today in this market noted above. 3 of them all together. 1 was a breakeven trade, and the other two went on to reach their respective targets. If you click on the image above it will show a much bigger picture of the ZB market this morning.

Tomorrow being Friday, and it falls into the category of being the day before the Holiday. I will not be trading or showing any trades for tomorrow. But if I can think of any words of wisdom to share I will do that tomorrow.

In any case, I would like to wish you a safe and happy Memorial Day Weekend. My trading will continue either on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

Best Wishes,

Wednesday Day Trading: ES SR Trendfade Long

Today there wasn't much happening in the markets that I follow. The only trade that I would have considered this morning was in the ES market at 11:15AM Eastern time. This trade was taken off a spike reversal and a trendfade approach to go LONG at 1410. This trade went on to target in 3 bars.

That is all for the day ... see you again tomorrow.

Best Wishes,

Tuesday Day Trading - ZB Bond Trades

First of all, if you click on the trading image it will show up much larger for your viewing. Today I saw a couple of opportunities to trade the bonds or the ZB contract. One was at either at 8:35AM or 8:50AM EST. The other was at 11:20AM EST.

There was a RED REPORT release on the PPI at 8:30AM EST, so I was on the sidelines until after the release of this report. As you can see, the trade at 8:50AM Eastern Time, went right on to target in one bar. This was a very nice and easy trade to make this morning. The other at 8:35AM was a nice trade. My only concern on this trade was not warranted was a crossing thru the price lines especially the greenline.

The other ZB bond trade was at 11:20AM Eastern time. This trade had to be managed as we approached the morning high and resistance area that formed earlier in the morning. I moved my stop up accordingly, to take advantage of a profitable trade and to make sure not to allow a WINNER turn into a LOSING TRADE.

I traded both of these trades today for profit and made my weekly goal today. I will be observing the market for the rest of the week as we head into the Memorial Day Holiday. For the most part, I do not trade close to a Holiday. Since, I made my weekly goal today my trades for the rest of the week will be what I see in the market.

Best Wishes,

Monday Day Trading: ES Long Trade

Today in the ES at 10:15AM Eastern Time a very nice LONG trade was established that went on to reach target with ease. In addition, to this trade there was another possible trade in the ZB at 10:20AM Eastern time that I stood aside while in this index trade.

Great start to the week!

Friday Day Trading: ER Bonus Trade

I wanted you to know that the problems with my charts are now fixed. On looking over opportunities today, the one I like the best was in ER at 11:30AM EST. You can see if you compare this chart up against the ES on the same time frame and price bars of 15 minutes they both had what I would classify as a Spike Reversal on the chart.

The better one of the two was on the ER as it closed right above Support and the ES showed the same upward movement to warrant an attempt to go LONG. This LONG trade was rewarded as you can see and easily went on ahead and made target.

In any case, I am happy to report that my charts are fixed finally and I am glad that you can see what I see on them more clearly now. I want to wish you a wonderful weekend filled with happiness and joy.

If I can be of any assistance, please let me know.

Best Wishes,

Thursday Day Trading: ZB Long Trade

Today the markets that I follow were pretty quiet and uneventful, but at 11:35AM the bonds moved nicely up, and I went LONG at that time and comfortably hit target. This was the best trade of the day. The patient wins the day.

Once again, I noticed that the labels are not lining up properly with the chart when I save the chart or export it to my computer. Hopefully, this problem will resolve itself soon. If you look at your charts on the ZB and do 15 min bar charts you will see my entry at 11:35AM Eastern that went up nicely and made target with room to spare.

Have a nice rest of the trading week. I do not trade Friday's as a general rule. If I can be of any assistance, please feel free to email me.

Thursday Day Trading: G6E Observations

Today the G6E offered a nice trade in early hours at 5AM Eastern Time ... my thoughts follow that time frame. Later in the morning, I was watching a support line to go LONG, but this didn't materialize during my trading day so I stood aside. So the trade to make on the EURO happened to be very early in the morning ... and after my trading session I see there was a possible entry during the lunch hour.

Wednesday Day Trading: ES Revenge Trade

Just to prove that I am human and have losing trades. Here is one that I considered today at 10:45AM Eastern time. On hindsight, this was a poor entry and a poor trade to consider. I have entitled this trade a REVENGE TRADE. What I tried to do was to capture the missing profits that I missed in the ER trade that was stopped out or at least that was my reasoning behind the entry.

Now with this being said, the teacher or teachers is the market. It will do what it wants to do regardless of how you feel and look, so don't be emotional and be careful of those REVENGEFUL trades. In the end, personally I have found these kind of trades rarely work out.

Well, I wish you all the best in your trading. If I can be of assistance, please let me know.

Best Wishes,

David AKA Tiger

P.S. Last trading post of the day, also I noticed that my trading platform did not place the decision points in the proper places today. To figure out my trades each bar is 15 minutes in length and I have left you my entry times today. I apologize for this, and realize that it can be confusing to read ... but hopefully they will have that fixed tomorrow.

Wednesday Day Trading: Long Trade ER

Another valid signal came in the ER today at 9:45AM Eastern Time. This trade after moving up I moved my stop to breakeven plus 2 tics. My stop was hit. Being a trader this can happen at times, so be prepared. More importantly, my goal is not to have a winning trade turn into a loser. There is a fine line on moving your stop to soon and not moving it and taking a full loss on a trade.

The decision points are off in this chart ... it should be for May 14th and not placed into May 13th here. The chart is not saving correctly today from the trading platform to my computer. This is also the same with the ZB trade as well.
